SK1 is run by Barney Matthews. He has skied at resorts all over the world including:
- Alpe D'Huez, Montgenevre, Les Deux Alpes and Serre Chevalier in France;
- Soll in Austria;
- Via Lattea in Italy;
- Pamporovo in Bulgaria;
- Norwich and Milton Keynes in England;
- Mount Sunapee, Okemo, Dartmouth Skiway, Bolton, Cochrans, Smuggs, Stowe, Sugarbush, Jay Peak and King Ridge in the USA.
Barney lives and skis in Vermont now and his favorite ski resort is wherever he is skiing at the time!
I believe you should “carve diem.” You know, like the Latin carpe diem which means seize the day. In skiing a carve turn is the best kind of turn you can do. Thus carve diem means carve the day. Clever huh? Also, I ski, therefore I am. Finally, to ski or not to ski, that is not a question!
